Farm Sanctuary Internship, Day 4

So today was my third work day as an intern in the administration department at Farm Sanctuary.  So far, things have been great – I love the staff here.  It’s truly a dream to be working among such an admirable team of dedicated people, with hundreds of rescued animals living peacefully right outside.. We have some really great cat co-workers in the office.  As you’ll see below, the calico kitty, Hermighty, loves to hang out at my desk.  She came up and sat on my lap while I was filing yesterday (but stood up right as I asked my boss to take a photo of us.) The weather was still pretty cold up until today, when the temperatures rose to the high 40’s, low 50’s.  All of the snow here melted and it literally felt like Spring!  Quite a change from the snow flurries yesterday!  We have an intern lunch every Wednesday, and our coordinator Becky made the most delicious meal this week.  I am definitely looking forward to our next meeting.

Living in the Vegan House on the farm has been a lot of fun so far, and my housemates are truly some of the nicest people.. I am really looking forward to going out this weekend and spending time with the animals, and taking some more photos!  I don’t have any sunlight after getting off work at 5, and the farm closes down for the night at 5:30, so I have to use my weekends for some snuggling, photo sessions, and lots of lovey dovey time with all the babies here.  Fortunately the weather for this weekend looks great as well!!

A few snapshots for now.. promise to post some more from this weekend after my adventures.
